Naturally Heal Bug Bites

Summer is the season for outdoor fun and along with that comes the season for unwanted bug bites. The best prevention for bug bites is our natural solution Bug Repel, which prevents the bugs from biting in the first place. Insects do not like the smell of essential oils, creating a safe and natural repellant.

What if I already have a bug bite? How do I find some relief? Our essential oils are medicinal grade, which provide better healing with less oil.
  • Rosemary essential oil is analgesic, antiviral, antiseptic and stimulates the immune system.
  • Peppermint essential oil is very high in menthol, which is one of the best natural chemicals for relieving pain.
Applying one drop of peppermint oil and one drop of rosemary oil directly onto the bug bite will stop the itching and pain, reduce redness and swelling and can be applied as needed. Important safety point: Because of its high levels of menthol, peppermint oil can cause breathing spasms for children under the age of three years old. Use organic spearmint with children.

If you have a poisonous bug bite, such as a spider bite, apply a drop of patchouli oil. Patchouli oil neutralizes the toxin in the venom to clean and heal the bite.
