The History of Essential Oils and Immunity

If you do some research into the historical uses of essential oils, you'll come across an interesting recipe. The story is that in the 17th century, as Europe was battling the Black Plague, a group of wandering thieves seemed to be immune to the disease, which allowed them to go into the homes of victims. They had no fear of searching for jewelry and money. The King of England demanded to know their secret. Turns out, it had to do with the oils they rubbed on their bodies. They had family history steeped in the knowledge of using oils medicinally. The King got the exact formula, and it saved his house from the disease. 

Essential oils function in the same way that blood does for humans. Our blood cleanses a wound and kills bacteria, so that tissues can be regenerated. When a plant is cute, the oil of the plan it released, and it serves as the defense system in plants. The oils carry nutrients to every cell in the plant, and contain the plant's healing nutrients. As life is our blood force, essential oil is the blood force of plants. 

While essential oils can heal, they can also harm. It is important to talk with a Certified Master Aromatherapist to make sure that you are using them correctly. Especially when it comes to using essential oils on children.
